Resting Strength

A single brass casing rests in a muted landscape, momentarily occupied by a wasp—an unexpected symbol of tension and restraint. The work explores the quiet space between force and stillness, where strength is no longer expressed through action, but through presence.

By isolating an industrial object in a natural environment, the painting removes it from its usual context and invites a slower, more contemplative viewing. The wasp introduces a living contrast—alert, precise, and controlled—echoing the same discipline embedded in the object itself.

This piece reflects a central theme in my work: strength does not require noise. It can exist quietly, held in balance with the natural world.
